NOKIA says bye to Lumia

 Nokia Lumia-530

…as Microsoft Lumia 535 berths

YOU probably may not see anything Nokia Lumia anywhere in the mobile market again. This gradual phase out began April last year when Microsoft completely took over the ailing Nokia mobile devices arm. However, since then Microsoft had deliberately allowed the name roll undisturbed. But now, it seems the software giant feels time is ripe for Nokia to go.

For the first time since it made that acquisition Microsoft has decided to sign its name on a mobile phone again. Apparently beginning with its latest release, the Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual Sim 3G Smartphone, the industry could give up the hope of seeing  Nokia Lumia series and get prepared for more Microsoft series.

Although it’s been long Microsoft signed on a mobile phone, it appears the software company is ready to get every mistake of the past corrected on its own brand of the Lumia devices.

The new Microsoft mobile deviced offers five great integrated Microsoft experiences, a wide-angle 5 megapixel front facing camera, and a spacious 5 inch display protected with Gorilla Glass 3.

With the device, one can now make memorable Skype video calls likewise seamlessly switch between voice and video with built-in Skype integration; access, edit and share word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and OneNote notebooks wherever one is, with the pre-installed Office suite.
The user can also save and sync photos, videos and office documents securely with 15GB of free One Drive cloud storage and connect with work and personal e-mail while on the go, with Microsoft Outlook built-in.

Little wonder, Microsoft officials are talking tough. Hear Mr Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager, Microsoft Mobile Devices & Services: “Nigerians are inspired everyday and want to turn that inspiration into reality and ultimately business opportunities.

Our Lumia smartphones give them the power and tools to make this happen. We are committed to delivering the power of everyday mobile technology to everyone through our devices and services such as OneDrive, Outlook, Skype, Bing, Outlook, and Xbox Live which power them. The new Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM sets the benchmark in bringing the best of the Windows at a very pocket friendly price point to consumers in Nigeria.”

Also, Senior Marketing Manager, Olumide Balogun, adds that the Lumia 535 Dual SIM is made especially for individuals who want to turn their ideas into amazing things.
